Bus Ministry Ride our bus to church services. You can catch the bus to Sunday School, to the Sunday morning worship service and to the Wednesday evening classes. The bus route covers Oakland, Union Gap and the Green Valley Road area. Please call 459-4447 or 459-4677 to catch a ride.
Childrens Church Children ages kindergarten through fourth grade meet for their own kid-friendly service at the beginning of the sermon. They are dismissed from the main service.
e’re revving up our engines, getting ready for The Incredible Race! Daytime VBS is com-ing soon! The theme is based upon Hebrews 12:1 ―Let us run… the race‖.
All workers at the daytime VBS are asked to attend a final meeting on Monday, July 11 at 6:30 PM in room #3 at the church. Pit Crew, please meet at 6:00 for tips on how to be a good pit crew. (This is for those who are traveling around with 1
st- 6th grad-ers each day).
Daytime VBS
is for those 4 years old through those going into 6th grade.
Monday - Thursday: 9 AM - Noon
Friday: 9 AM - 12:30 / Program 7 PM
Kids can pre-register by calling or coming by the church office before VBS or they can register on the first day. Bus and van transportation will be available.
Please invite those neighbor kids that need to learn about Jesus. They may never have been invited before or may never be invited again – here’s your chance to introduce them to Jesus. We have flyers on the mailbox table for you to hand out.
Please come to watch the Friday evening program and show your support to the kids and VBS staff. Afterward, there will be ice cream and a time to mingle with our visitors. Classrooms will be avail-able to view. (If you can help by bringing home-made ice cream, it will be appreciated!).
Teen VBS
is for all kids 7th-12th grade. They will meet each evening at Bob and Althea Young’s home. Sunday, July 17, they will meet from 5-9 PM and Monday - Thursday, 6 - 9 PM. There will be lessons, food, swimming & fun (modest swimwear, please). All teens are encouraged to help with the daytime VBS but do not have to help in order to at-tend the Teen VBS. For the five Wednesday nights after VBS we will continue on with the additional five lessons that the material provides, with Bible Stories about John the Baptist, Jesus, Paul, Onesimus/Philemon and All Who are Faithful (The Ultimate Race), for those 2 years old – 6
th grade.
Senior Ministries- Timeless Treasures ( 50 years and up) - There is a potluck each month on first Sunday of the month, following the Worship service and Linger Longer Fellowship time. Also there are other activities, day trips, etc. from time to time. Contact Richard and Eloise Carter or Kenny and Shirley Brown for more information.
The first camp session started on June 26th and the last one will end on August 12th. There is an additional fee if your registration is not turned in two weeks before your camp begins. First Chance camp is $65.00 and all other camps are $165.00 if registered ahead of time.
Church Library The Church library is now ready for use - please feel free to check out books, or donate books - used but in good shape Christian books or stop by the church office and pick out a new book or books to donate to the library.
