Dear Sisters in Christ,
After much discussion, the Women's Ministries Team chose to "mostly cancel" this year's Ladies' Tea. The heart of the Tea is fellowship, so with sadness, the large gathering part of the tea has been canceled.
However, another major purpose of the Tea is to support a mission project. This year's chosen ministry is Eden Children's Village in Doma, Zimbabwe. In order to fulfill this purpose, we are hosting a virtual tea, an "untea" if you will.
Between now and May 16, we encourage those who are able, to make a donation for a Virtual Reali-Tea ticket. The suggested amount is $10.00, but smaller or larger amounts are welcome. Click on the Virtual Reali-Tea link below to make your donation. 100% of these donations will be given to Eden Children's Village.
Then, on Saturday, May 16th get all dressed up with nowhere to go, brew a cup of tea and put on your best smile! Take a selfie and post it on our Facebook Virtual Reali-Tea event page, and/or email it to the church: [email protected]. Please follow the recommended guidelines for physical distancing and stick with household/family members only for your tea.
All submitted pictures will be made into a video. This will be emailed on Monday, May 18 to each participant along with a special devotion from our scheduled guest speaker, Marjorie Towers.
What Satan meant for evil, God has turned into good, sisters. To learn more about the ministry of Eden Children's Village, visit their website at www.eden-ministries.org. They keep many children alive today; let's help keep it going!
